Throughout my life I’ve always been into some form of physical activity; football, martial arts, bodybuilding, ashtanga yoga, competitive road cycling and more recently body weight exercises and hitting the gym.

I came across Kettlebells by accident, whilst researching 7 times Tour de France winner and 'hero' at the time, Lance Armstrong (toppled by the great 'Sir' Bradley Wiggins in 2012).  Since then and after much research into Kettlebells, realising their impact on core training and overall fitness conditioning, I was hooked.

Having taught Healthy Living and Sports and Fitness to 14-19 year olds, and managed the gym at Oasis Sports and Leisure in Norwich, I decided to take the plunge and dip my toes into self-employment. I currently run this business along around my 'normal' (part-time) job, as a Special Education Needs Learning Support Assistant.

I am a Level 3 REPs registered Exercise Referral and Personal Trainer, which allows me to give support and advice on a range of different health issues and to offer one to one bespoke training sessions moulded to client's needs.

Being passionate about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, I am also sensitive to the fact that we all start our journey from a different place, and that each of us will encounter our own challenges as we move towards what it is we want to achieve.

Instructing Kettlebell Strength & Conditioning

Every week I repeatedly remind people of the weights they use and how you should be struggling in those last few reps, to complete the set. This is the only way to challenge yourself, putting in the effort required to induce a change in the body and the benefits that naturally follow.

You're not there to go through the motions (I know a lot of you put in a superb effort), those who don't push, need to face the realisation that change will not come through mediocrity (in any form of exercise).

Please do yourselves a favour and make the most of your time at sessions, they don't last long.

I like to think people come to me because of the above and that I push people hard. There are plenty of classes out there where the instructor is far nicer than I (I know you'll find that hard to believe!), they don't shout or get worked up if they see people not putting in the effort, I'm not everyone's 'cup of tea', but as long as people attend my classes, I intend getting the best out of you.

A bit about me

I encourage my clients to look at all elements of their lifestyle and strike a balance which is sustainable for them over the long term.  It is important to remember that small changes really can make a difference, but there is no harm in aiming high!
